Description	:	R.B. Wyckoff was born October 28, 1815, in Delaware County, New York. He married Esther Jones in 1836, in Michigan. Three sons were born to their union: George, Albert and Richard. The Wyckoffs came to the Territory of Iowa on September 1, 1838. They settled in the area now known as Copper Creek in Jackson County, Iowa, that was then occupied by Sac and Fox Indians. R.B. Wyckoff served in the Territorial Convention of 1844. He served as a Colonel in the Mexican War from 1846 to 1848. Col. Wyckoff was elected to serve in the Iowa Legislature from 1850-1851....
