Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of the late John William Martin and daughter of the late Dewey E. Eubanks and Janie Chaffin Eubanks. She retired from textiles after 50 years of service, loved flowers and cats, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Teresa Painter Bright and husband, Benny, of Gaffney; three step-sons, Reggie Martin, Randy Martin and Mike Martin; a sister, Ann Lecroy Phillips and husband, Grady, of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Gina Daniels and husband, Todd, Melissa Holmes and husband, Kevin, and Cody Bright and wife, Cindy; six great-grandchildren, Noah, Brice, Morgan, Casey, Cade and Claire; numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Joann Mullinax and Lauretta Holcomb. The family would like to extend special thanks to Peachtree Centre for their loving care. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Daniels and Rev. Delos Blanton officiating. Entombment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, S.C. 29342 or Alzheimers Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302. The family will be at their respective homes.
