Description	:	Coleta Rose Hoepfner, 88, died peacefully on December 16, 2014 at the Knife River Care Center, Beulah. Services will be held at 10:00 AM CST, Saturday December 20, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Beulah, with Fr. Kenneth Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Beulah. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with a vigil to follow. Coleta was born the daughter of Gregory P. and Philomena (Nagel) Kastner in the Haymarsh area where she was raised and educated. She worked on the family farm until she married Steve Hoepfner on October 27th, 1953 in her home parish of Haymarsh, north of Glen Ullin. Together they made their home and farmed north of Beulah, where they raised five children. Coleta was very dedicated to her family and loved seeing all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whenever she had seen any of them, they always brought a smile to her face. She was a very kind and special mother and grandmother. Her catholic faith is what she relied on and always gave her strength, no matter what. She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law: Leo and Nanc of Beulah; Gregory and Susan of Salt Lake City, Utah; Ernest and Pauline and Jean and Debra all of Beulah; and one daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Bob Piesik of Dickinson; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers Eugene and Wilfred Kastner; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, July 24, 2004; an infant son, Arnold; one grandson Leo (Sonny) Hoepfner; her parents; two brothers Irvin and Art Kastner; and one sister Viola Wanner.
