Colleen Ann (Chambers) Manderscheid, was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on December 19, 1931, the daughter of Harold Chambers and Leona (Bass) Smith. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1950. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1950. On August 18, 1951, Colleen married Robert Manderscheid, at St. Andrews Cathedral in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Colleen was a devoted homemaker, mother, and physician’s wife. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed flower gardening, reading, and feeding the wildlife. She also enjoyed baking and cooking, decorating for the holidays, and shopping. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Carolyn Malloy and Carmen McLarty; two grandsons, Michael Roholt and Jason Hardy. Colleen is survived by a son, Michael Manderscheid of Donnelly, Idaho; five daughters, Sue Roholt and husband, Steve of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jane Manderscheid and companion, Robert Yontz of Tucson, Arizona, Joan Manderscheid of Boone; Diane Byriel and husband, Brian of Boone; and Donna Manderscheid of Phoenix, Arizona; ten grandchildren, Ann Wollner and husband, Andy, Meredith Shaffer and husband, Andrew, Gary Byriel, Sasha Mueller and companion, Tommy Wilken, Gordon Hardy, Seth Mueller, Ian Wilkes, Taylor Roholt, Sadie Hardy and David Manderscheid and companion, Ashley Lenz; seven great grandchildren, Cassidy Wollner, Haley Mueller, William and Paige Shaffer, Logan Reis, Tyson and Raelyn Wilken; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall, on Wednesday, from 2 until 7 p.m., where the family will be present from 5 until 7 p.m. On Thursday, friends may call at the funeral chapel from 8 until 10 a.m. The casket will be closed throughout the visitation periods.
