Description	:	Connie Friesz, 71, of New Leipzig, ND, passed away at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND on March 2, 2014 with her family at her side. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Elgin. Rev. Bob Edwards will officiate and burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, north of New Leipzig. Connie Lou Wyman was born on April 30, 1942 in Dickinson, ND to Charles and Sarah (Mutchelknaus) Wyman. She grew up in Mott, ND and attended Mott Public School. After graduating from High School, Connie attended Dickinson State College and pursued a degree in Teaching. She student taught in Sydney, MT. On June 25, 1967, she was united in marriage to Wilbert Friesz and they had two sons, Aaron and Eric. Connie spent the rest of her teaching career in New Leipzig/Elgin school system. She devoted much of her life to education and teaching. Connie enjoyed sewing and gardening. She especially enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to sew and loved watching them grow. Connie was a parent leader for 4-H and played organ for Zion Lutheran Church services for many years. Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband, Wilbert Friesz, their sons, Aaron Friesz and Eric (Jill) Friesz, three grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sarah Wyman and her sister, Paulette McAurthur.
