Connie was born on Dec. 5, 1943, in Billings, to Albert Stoessel and Mary L. Mosier-Stoessel-Savage. She grew up in Montana, attending schools in Big Timber and Columbus. On Feb. 28, 1962, she married Paul A. Kober in Columbus and together they raised four children. Connie and Paul lived on farms in Columbus, Three Forks and Forsyth. Read More	COLUMBUS — Connie Luriee Stoessel Kober, 67 of Columbus, met the Lord on Sept. 15, 2011, with her family by her side. Connie was born on Dec. 5, 1943, in Billings, to Albert Stoessel and Mary L. Mosier-Stoessel-Savage. She grew up in Montana, attending schools in Big Timber and Columbus. On Feb. 28, 1962, she married Paul A. Kober in Columbus and together they raised four children. Connie and Paul lived on farms in Columbus, Three Forks and Forsyth. She worked in and operated several restaurants during her working career, finally retiring from Matovich IGA in Columbus. Her career of choice was being a mom. She was a fun mom and always put her children first. She taught them respect and kindness, and how to work hard while showing them how important the simple things in life are. Connie had a passion for crocheting and created many beautiful things that she shared with family and friends. She also loved gardening and being out on the farm. She enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness of living in the country and always had an animal or two that she loved to spoil. She was an awesome grandma, always known to get on the floor or in the sandbox and play with them like a child. They loved her dearly because of her ability to be a kid with them. She was an amazing cook. One of her great joys was to cook a big meal for her family during the holidays. She also loved music and created many beautiful memories for her children by playing the accordion to them as they gathered around her feet. Connie is survived by her husband Paul and children Buddy of Columbus, Laurie (Joe) Bauer of Cody, Wyo., Debbie (Mike)Vasser of Anchorage, Alaska, Bill (Durene) Kober of Columbus; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; sister Wanda Stoessel of New Mexico; sisters-in-law Nancy and Marlene Stoessel of Arvada, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; and brothers Al and Bob. Connie was an amazingly strong, kind, and compassionate soul and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place and her wishes of no service will be honored. The family will have a gathering and celebration of her life at a later date.
