Brown officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery. The Almonte Gazette Wednesday April 18 1979, p.4: Constance Grace Greig Funeral services for Mrs Constance Grace Grieg, widow of the late Percy A. Greig, Q.C., well known Almonte lawyer, were held at St. Paul's Anglican Church on Thursday, April 19, at 1.30 o'clock. The rector, Rev. Harry Brown, officiated. Mrs Grieg, a long-time residence of Almonte, passed away at the Almonte General Hospital on Sunday morning, April 15, 1979 after a month's illness. She was 91. Born at Campbellford, Ontario on October 20, 1887, she was a daughter of the late Henry Rowed & his wife Emily Sarah Castle. She received her education & training at Bishop Bethune School & the Royal Victoria Hospital. In 1914 she was married to Percy A. Grieg at Waseca, Saskatchewan. She was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church & in former years was active in the Alexandra Club of Almonte. She is survived by a son, Rowed Grieg, of Malloaca, Spain; 2 daughters, Mrs Anne Constance Read of Iowa City, U.S.A., & Mrs Margaret Emily Lorimer of Terrace, B.C., & a sister, Georgina Goodridge. One brother Henry Rowed is deceased. The remains rested at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, Church Street, prior to being taken to St. Paul's Church for service.
