Description	:	Constance (Connie) Marie Skinner was born on May 16, 1949 in Mitchell to Duane and Catherine (Flemming) Skinner. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1967. She then attended SDSU in Brookings and graduated in January of 1972. She became an educator with the South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service as an Extension Agent. She worked in Mitchell, Murdo and then settling in Belle Fourche for more than twenty years. She spent an extreme amount of her work time and personal time working with 4-H, county fairs and State Fairs. She enjoyed teaching the young people to learn something new. ... Read More	Constance (Connie) Marie Skinner was born on May 16, 1949 in Mitchell to Duane and Catherine (Flemming) Skinner. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1967. She then attended SDSU in Brookings and graduated in January of 1972. She became an educator with the South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service as an Extension Agent. She worked in Mitchell, Murdo and then settling in Belle Fourche for more than twenty years. She spent an extreme amount of her work time and personal time working with 4-H, county fairs and State Fairs. She enjoyed teaching the young people to learn something new. In May of 1999 she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma of the spine. This had a huge impact on her physical mobility, but through her tremendous determination she overcame and regained a lot of her mobility back. She retired on June 30th, 2000 after serving twenty-seven years as an Extension Agent across the state. Even after her retirement she stayed highly involved in 4-H activities. She spent her time reading, sewing, quilting, needlework, plastic canvas, macramé and also helping with the local 4-H. Her favorite motto was "To make the best better" the 4-H motto. She is survived by her four siblings: Donald (Colleen) Skinner of Pierre, SD, Kenneth (Pat) Skinner of Mitchell, SD, Carol (Greg) Terrill of Jacksonville, FL and John (Sandy) Skinner of Mitchell, SD; five nieces and nephews: Nathan Terrill, Kristin (Marc) Reeder, Jeremy (Jess) Skinner, Jason (Mica) Skinner and Jenna Skinner; one grand-niece, Nevaeh Skinner and two grand-nephews, Jack Reeder and Kendan Skinner. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and grandparents.
