Read More	Obituary for Constance Schutjer, 1902-1992 Argus-Leader Sioux Falls, SD 16 Dec 1992 Constance Schutjer, 90, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1992, in the United Retirement Center in Brookings. Constance McKercher was born on July 21, 1902, in Clear Lake, Iowa. she moved to western Brookings county with her parents in 1904, and in 1908, they moved to White. She received her education in White. She taught in rural school for three years. She married George Schutjer on June 18, 1923, in White. He died on Nov. 4, 1959. They farmed in the Bruce, White and Aurora areas until his death. In 1960, she moved into Brookings. She was a member of the First Church of God and various women's groups. Survivors include two sons, Robert of Brookings and Gordon of Vallejo, Calif.; two grandsons; one great-grandaughter; two sisters; her twin, Coral Bombeck of Brookings, and Janet Christensen of Denver. Colo. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Church of God in Brookings, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Rude's Funeral Home in Brookings, and prior to services at the church.
