Description	:	Cora Snell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Snell, was born at Greenbush, Illinois, December 7, 1886, and departed from this life on Thursday, April 3, 1936. At the age of seven years she moved with her parents to Decatur County and there grew to young womanhood. On May 20, 1903, she was united in marriage to Frank Pelkey and to this union seven children were born: Mrs. Opal McChesney of Oberlin, Merle, Frank, Truman and Cloyce of the home, and two children dying in infancy. Read More	Cora Snell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Snell, was born at Greenbush, Illinois, December 7, 1886, and departed from this life on Thursday, April 3, 1936. At the age of seven years she moved with her parents to Decatur County and there grew to young womanhood. On May 20, 1903, she was united in marriage to Frank Pelkey and to this union seven children were born: Mrs. Opal McChesney of Oberlin, Merle, Frank, Truman and Cloyce of the home, and two children dying in infancy. With the exception of a few years spent in Colorado, she, with her husband and family, has made her home on the farm twelve miles northeast of Oberlin. She was never afiliated with any church but was a Bible student and always lived a true Christian life. All who knew her will ever cherish the privilege of having had her for a friend. She was a member of the Sunshine Club where her associations with its members meant very much to her. After a quite lengthy illness she departed this life at the age of 49 years, four months and 9 days. Beside her husband and children, she leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Mrs. Hattie Richardson and two brothers, Gail and Opie Richardson and three grandchildren, Carl, Donna and Dale McChesney of Oberlin, besides a host of relatives and friends. Her father preceded her in death. Funeral services were held from the Federated Church Friday afternoon with the Christian Science Service conducted by Mr. Walker Hughes. Burial will be made in the Ault cemetery with the Griffith Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
