Description	:	Cora Clayton, 90, of Holyoke, Colorado passed away on June 12, 2018. She was born in Holyoke on January 17,1928, daughter of the late James and Helen Burns. She is survived by her two children, Patricia Rue and Mark Clayton, four grandchildren, Sarah Rue, Elizabeth Koehl, Angela Powell, Justin Clayton, their spouses, and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Willard, daughter in law Sherrie Clayton, and three grandsons Adam, Jack, and Ethan Rue Dunstan. She is survived by her two children, Patricia Rue and Mark Clayton, four grandchildren, Sarah Rue, Elizabeth Koehl, Angela Powell, Justin Clayton, their spouses, and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Willard, daughter in law Sherrie Clayton, and three grandsons Adam, Jack, and Ethan Rue Dunstan. She attended a country elementary school near Amherst, Holyoke High School, and for a period of time University of Northern Colorado before marrying Willard Clayton on May 23, 1948. Cora kept the business books and was a diligent and faithful partner with her late husband Willard on their farm. For a short period of time she also worked as a teacher’s aide at Holyoke Elementary School. She was an active long time member of First Baptist Church of Holyoke. Cora enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She was an excellent gardener and fabulous cook as well as a meticulous housekeeper. She enjoyed canning and freezing the fruits of her gardening labors. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Holyoke, 1000 E Johnson St. Holyoke, Colorado 80734 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church of Holyoke or charity of choice. The funeral service was held on Monday, June 18, 2018at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Holyoke, Colorado with Pastor Gordon Penfold officiating. Interment followed at the Holyoke Cemetery. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service. Holyoke Enterprise. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Elizabeth Christine Rue of San Antonio and George Aloysius Koehl IV of Midland, Texas were married 6 p.m. Jan. 31, 2004 at First Baptist Church. The Rev. George A. Koehl III , father of the groom, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Rue of San Antonio. She is the granddaughter of Willard and Cora Clayton of Holyoke, Colo. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
