PHILLIP CROSBY Funeral services were held Monday for Mrs. Cora Crosby, wife of Phillip Crosby. who died Friday, July 30th in Pitkin County Hospital after a long illness. The services were conducted in Sardy Mortuary by Rev. Bronston Greenwood, with burial in Red Butte Cemetery in the Masonic plot. Cora Hepworth Crosby was born January 30, 1890 at Burlingame, Kansas. She attended Kansas State College at Manhattan, Bradley University at Peoria and did post graduate work at Teachers College, Columbia University. She taught many years in the public schools of Topeka, Kansas until her marriage to Phillip Crosby May 1, 1948. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Phillip Crosby; two sisters, Miss Marian Hepworth of Burlingame, Kansas and Mrs. Nicholas Bird of Wichita; and eleven nieces and nephews.
