Lot-119 Space-03 Cora Hinman Osgood Feb 3,1877-April 28,1915 Mrs. Charles Osgood Dies Suddenly Mrs Cora Hinman Osgood, wife of Charles Osgood residing south of the city, passed away at nine-thirty Wednesday morning at the home of her mother, Mrs.B.I.Hinman. She was thirty-six years, two months and twenty-five days old at the time of her death and she had been ill but a short time. Mrs Osgood gave birth to a child Tuesday morning and from that time she gradually grew weaker until death came. The child was buried Tuesday afternoon. Every possible measure was exhausted in an attempt to save her life, but she was too weak to recover. Cora Hinman was born in North Platte, February 3, 1879. She grew to womanhood in this city and graduated from the North Platte schools. She later finished her education in Brownell Hall in Omaha. On September 20, 1898 she was married to Charles Osgood. To this union nine children were born, five of whom survive. During the early part of her marriage Mrs. Osgood lived in the west, living in Denver, San Francisco and Idaho. She was living in San Francisco during the time of the earthquake. She returned here with her husdand four years ago and they have since made their home on a farm fourteen miles south of the city, Mrs. Osgood is survived by her husband, five children, her mother, Mrs.B.I.Hinman, and two brothers, Miner and Curtis Hinman, also a cousin, Y.A.Hinman of this city. The children are Charles Edward, aged 11, Julia Elizabeth 7, Alma Regina 5, Miner Hinman 3, and Beatrice aged 23months, Four boys died in their in fancy. The death is especially sad in that she leaves a family of small children. She was a woman who made every acquaintance a friend and one loved by all who knew her.
