Description	:	YORK Cora Cyrena Seitz, 90, wife of the late Orval A. Seitz, to whom she was married 47 years, went home to be with the Lord early on the morning of October 3, 2007, at York Hospital. The former Maryland native had been residing at Kingston Manor in York. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, at Arlington Evangelical Congregational Church, 585 Lombard Road, Red Lion, with the Rev. Sterling Trimmer officiating. Viewing will be held at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Norrisville United Methodist Cemetery in Norrisville, Md.... Cora was born January 29, 1917, in Pylesville, Md., the eldest child of the late John and Clara Waltimyer. Cora worked in various sewing factories and cared for the elderly. She enjoyed watching songbirds and tending to her flower beds. Cora was a member of Arlington Evangelical Congregational Church. Cora is survived by two daughters, Jean Smith and her husband, Ron of York, and Patsy Skarupa and her husband, Ron of Whitehall, Md.; and two sisters, Maud Brown of Fawn Grove and Leona Smith of Ohio. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and eight great-greatgrandchildren whom she greatly enjoyed. In addition to her late husband, Cora was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Leftwich; a brother, Alton Waltimyer; a daughter, Doris E. Root; and a granddaughter, Debi Mellinger. Cora always said "It never hurts to have a hug around the neck." Published in the York Daily Record & York Dispatch on 10/5/2007.
