Description	:	Funeral sevices for Mrs. George Martin, 76 were held at the Evangelical-united Brethren Church. Interment in the Center Point Cemetery. Mrs Martin had been a sufferer with Arthritis for many yeart and her activites were curtailed because of that condition. Her death Tuesday morning was attributed to a heart ailment aggravated by astham. She had been in decling health since suffering a serious illness with pneumonia last winter. However, she rallied from that illness in the weeks preceding her death she had sufficicient strength to be up each day and while she could not be active she could remain on the davenport or in a chair and occupy herself with hand work. With assistance from her family, she had arisen as usual, the morning she passed way. Cora E. Martin, wife of George Martin, was born Cora E. Shenenberger, the daughter of Sylvanus and Neomi Shenenberger, June 8, 1872 near Blairstown, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Center Point July 7, 1948, having reached the age of 76 years and 28 days. She was married to her now sorrowing husband Sept, 6, 1983 at the home of her parents, living then south of Center Point, and had she lived there to they would have been married fifty-five years. To this union were born seven children, two dying in infancy. Surviving are her husband, three sons, Eldon of Cedar Rapids, Clair and Beldon of Center Point, two daughters, Mrs Lela Turner of Cedar Rapids and Mrs Fern Kramer of Walker, two sisters, Mrs Meda Kray of Vinton and Mrs Edith Bachtell of Cedar Rapids and one brother Floyd Shenenberger of Bellingham, Washington, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her parents and a brother Isa preceded her in death. She was a member of the Evangelical Church in Cedar Rapids. She has served her generation well and there is comfort in the thought that life never ends, that somewhere is the face not seen, the voice not heard and that somewhere free from earthly pain and cares, joyous alive and happy she awaits her loved ones.
