Jones, was born Dec. 23, 1866, at Arcade, New York, and departed this life August 31 at her home in Beaverton. She came with her parents to Clio, Genesee county, in the year 1880. LUCINDA MOLTER DIES AT HOME HERE (BY MRS. P. M. COWELL) Cora Lucinda Jones, daughter of Daniel F. and Amanda A. Jones, was born Dec. 23, 1866, at Arcade, New York, and departed this life August 31 at her home in Beaverton. She came with her parents to Clio, Genesee county, in the year 1880. On March 4, 1890, she was united in marriage to Edmund T. Mercer, also of Clio, who departed this life April 24, 1902. To this union were born five children, James Frederick, who passed away Feb. 12, 1903, Vernon C. Mercer of Beaverton, Jessie A. Turner of Midland, Mamie L. Cowell and Isabel S. Brown of Beaverton. On October 20, 1908, she was united in marriage to John J. Molter of Beaverton. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was affiliated with various church organizations, being an honorary member of the Dale-Billings Aid after 25 years of service.She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Stars of the Beaverton chapter and Ancient Order of Gleaners. Besides her husband and children mentioned, she is survived by 17 grandchildren, one, William E. Mercer, whom she has raised from infancy; one sister, Mrs. Herbert Eagan of Flint; a brother, Walter A. Jones of Clio; and two boys whom she has raised, Robert Elliott of Saginaw and Harry Gunnerson of Midland. Funeral services were held Monday, September 2, at the M. E. church at Beaverton, conducted by Rev. Raymond Norton, and the Order of Eastern Stars at the interment at Dale. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mrs. Herbert Eagan, Mrs. William Cooper and two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Coon and Mrs. Emma Brush of Flint; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jones and Bryan of Clio; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Elliott of Saginaw; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Shepherd of Midland; Mr. and Mrs. D. Bearse and Mr. and Mrs. A. Molter and daughter of Ann Arbor; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kain, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kain and Mrs. M. Ninty of Owendale; George Linaberry, Mrs. Gidney, Mr. and Mrs. William Chatterton, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Cox, Mrs. Lena Rasburn of Gladwin and Al Hull of Winegars. Gladwin County Record dated 9-4/1935
