Stimson died at her home three miles from Irma on May 24th. Mrs. Stimson was born in Oakland, Nebraska on Sept. 17, 1883. Having resided in this community for some time she had a place in the lives of a large number of people, and although she has passed away from the scene of earthly activity she will continue to live in the lives of those she left behind. She is survived by her husband and six children, the eldest of whom is nine years old and the youngest one month, also by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Peterson, of Sterling, Alta., and five brothers, Warren, Howard, Arthur, Vernon and Charlie, and one sister, Mrs. H. Bouck of Heath. All of the family were here to see the remains laid to rest, with the exception of Charlie who has gone to the front and was unable to attend. Mrs. Stimson was a woman of many sterling qualities, she had a host of friends who deeply deplore her untimely death. The funeral service was held in the Methodist church last Sunday at 2 p.m. in the prescence of a host of friends and relatives, the church was crowded to the doors and not a fewof the friends had to stand outside on the steps during the service. Rev. C.S. Hockin officiated at the church and at the grave. The services at the church were begun with the hymn "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and after the pastor had read a few appropriate passages of scripture the choir rendered "Nearer My God to Thee" and by special request the services were closed by singing "Jesus Saviour Pilot Me", this being the favorite hymn of the deceased. The remains were interred in the Irma Cemetery where she now lays at rest covered by the floral tributes of relatives and friends. The pall bearers were: M. Wold, R. Smallwood, A.R. Pennock, G.A. Tripp, J.C. MacKay and W.J. McCully. May the bereaved husband, parents, brothers and sister find consolation in the consciousness that their loss is deeply felt by all and that they have the deepest sympathy of the community in their affliction.
