Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Netherlands Reformed Congregation, Corsica. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Corsica. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m Saturday at Netherlands Reformed Gym, Corsica, with a 5 p.m. prayer service. Arrangements are under the direction of Koehn Brothers Funeral Chapel, Armour, Parkston and Lake Andes. She was born on Aug. 1, 1921, at home in Douglas County to Leendert and Jennie (Zomer) Rus. On Feb. 14, 1946, she married Gerritt Teunissen in Corsica. They farmed near Armour until his death on July 30, 1965. She worked as a cook for Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center, Corsica; and Douglas County Memorial Hospital, Armour. She was a member of Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Corsica. She entered Leisure Living in Corsica and then moved to Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center, where she lived the past five years. She is survived by five children: Gary and wife Gloria, Rock Valley, Iowa; Kenneth and wife Sharon; Gerald and wife Debra; and Lana Teunissen, all of Sioux Falls; and Judy Olawksy and husband Gary, Armour; 25 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and 24 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Anna Rus, Corsica; and Cobie Frens and husband Henry, Waupan, Wis.; and a brother, John Rus and wife Hattie, Corsica.
