Description	:	Corlinda “Elaine” (Moore) Henry was born on August 26, 1939, in Wilton,Wisconsin to Virgil and Lucille (Jacobs) Moore. Following her parents death, Elaine, at the age of 12, was placed for a short time with her uncle Sidney Moore on a farm near Lima. Read More	Corlinda “Elaine” (Moore) Henry was born on August 26, 1939, in Wilton,Wisconsin to Virgil and Lucille (Jacobs) Moore. Following her parents death, Elaine, at the age of 12, was placed for a short time with her uncle Sidney Moore on a farm near Lima. She then moved to Fayette to live with her aunt and uncle, Roland and Margie Moore. Elaine graduated in 1957 from Fayette High School. On January 31, 1958 she was united in marriage in Waterloo, Iowa to her high school classmate Harry Henry. Elaine worked as a CNA, on the West Union Fire Department, City ambulance crew and as manager of Avalon Theater in West Union. She also held several other jobs including Tony Sandwiches, Kum & Go, Pronto, Boot Hill, Postville Good Samaritan Home and Harry Henry Electric. Elaine was a member of United Methodist Church in West Union, she enjoyed doing mission work by crocheting prayer shawls and knitting mittens and hats. She was associated with Brownies & Girl Scouts for over 30 years, where she served as a leader, council member and day camp coordinator. Elaine was a devoted wife, loving mother and an awesome grandma. She enjoyed spending her time with her family doing a variety of activities, camping, tending her flower beds, gardening, baking, crocheting, knitting and going to garage sales to find another cookie jar to add to her collection. She always had a warm cookie, good advice, lots of hugs and a sunny outlook on life! She passed away, Thursday, September 20, 2012, at her home in rural West Union. Elaine is survived by her husband, Harry, of West Union; seven children, Kelly (Anthony) Milano of Denver, Colorado, Kim Rose of Westgate,Kris (Blaine) Hanson of West Union, Karla (John) Michel of West Union, Kyle (Lynette) Henry of West Union, Konnie (James) Will of Hazelton, Kandy (Jim) Stenseth of Calmar; a granddaughter raised from infancy, Carrie Johnson of West Union; 39 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren siblings, Dean (Jerry) Moore of Hillsboro, Wisconsin, Duane (Pat) Moore of Lake Geneva Wisconsin, Donna (Mike) Murphy of Harrison, Arkansas, Barbara Schneider of Roscoe, Illinois, Jeanie (Kermit) Matyas of The Villages, Florida, Margie (Jim) Lyons of Urbana, Ohio, Dennis (Peg) of Waterloo, Iowa, Raymond (Kathy) Moore of Waterloo, Iowa, Rick (Teddy) Moore of New Hartford, Iowa, Kevin (Amy) Moore of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Delores (Merle) Bush of Waterloo, Iowa; sister-in-laws; Chris Moore of Wilton, Wisconsin , Pat Moore of Detroit, Michigan, LeAnne Allen of Tomah, Wisconsin and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, foster parents, three brothers, Don, Jim and Carl Moore one sister, Dorothy (Bernie) Robinson, 2 siblings in infancy, two great-grandsons, one great granddaughter, and mother and father in-law Donald and Gladys Henry. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at 10:30 AM at United Methodist Church in West Union with Rev. Scott Keele Kober officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. A public visitation will be held from 4 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union. Burnham-Wood and S.K. Rogers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
