A quartette consisting of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Kloster of Des Moines, Mr. O. O. Muller and Miss Agnes Hegland sang two selections and Mrs. Kloster sang a solo. Although the weather was most disagreeable the church was crowded with saddened friends and relatives. Mrs. Catherine Cordelia Rapp Day was born in Princeton, Ill. April 21, 1865, where she remained until her marriage to Mr. Geo. Day, Jury 21, 1897, when they moved to Iowa, north of Colo. Five years ago they moved to the home near Nevada. To this union was born four children, Anna, Ruth, Willard and Dorothy. Mrs. Day was a member of th English Lutheran Church of Princeton for many years. She was active as a Sunday School teacher and took an active interest in the Missionary organization. The evidence of her strong Christian character was manifest in her bravely facing the future, patience in suffering, interest and helpfulness in others, her unselfishness and deep interest in her church. The memory of her well spent and most useful life along with her deep convictions will be in the memory of her many friends and relatives for years to come. The beautiful floral offerings were but an expression of the high esteem and love of those who knew her best. The body was laid to rest in a quiet beautiful spot in Nevada cemetery, where many will pause and think of the days that have been. The deepest sympathy of the community is sincerely extended to the family and relatives.
