Cain, who died recently and was buried in Seattle, was a veteran of the civil war. He died two days before his 81st birthday anniversary. He was a native of Harrisville, W. Va. He enlisted in Company D Sixth regiment West Virginia infantry August 20, 1861, and was promoted successively, so that he was a first lieutenant when he was honorably discharged June 10, 1865. Mr. Cain received furlough of fifteen days and was married to Elizabeth F. Sinnett, march 14, 1865, at her home near Harrisville, W. Va. Mr. and Mrs. Cain moved to Washington in 1890. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary March 14, 1915. Mr. Cain is survived by his widow, Elizabeth F. Cain, 1722 West Fifty-seventh street, Seattle; and one daughter, Mrs. Rosetta M.
