| Description | : | Cornelius (6th) was the fourth of seven children born to Cornelius (5th) and Abby (Easterd) Vanover. He was a farmer, herb doctor, and operated a grist mill. He married Sarah Hill. They migrated from North Carolina to Dickenson County, Virginia, about 1845 and lived near the mouth of Georges Fork Creek of the Pound River. On May 22, 1858, Cornelius and Sarah (Hill) Vanover deeded one acre of land on the south-side of the Pound River to the Trustees of the Primitive Baptist Church.
