Description	:	CIVIL WAR VETERAN ~ 20th WISCONSIN INFANTRY ~ 1ST WIFE: CAROLINE KRIEMEN; 2ND WIFE: LOUISE DEIBERT. ----------------------- Gottlieb was a farmer and enlisted for 3 years, Aug. 20, 1862, in Watertown, Wisc., He was promoted to corporal and engaged in action at Prairie Grove, Vicksburg, Van Buren, Atachafalaya, Fort Morgan, Meadowsville, and Spanish Fort. He was also a provost guard in Brownsville, Texas. He was honorably discharged in Galveston, Texas, on July 14, 1865. His name is also on a memorable monument at Vicksburg National Military Park in Mississippi where Wisconsin had built a memorial for all...
