HONORABLY DISCHARGED. Sgt. Maxim, Chummy Landroche has been discharged from the U.S. Army after four and a half years' service and is at his home on the Puccetti Block on Main Street. Sgt. Landroche entered the service April 4, 1941. He left for overseas December 10, 1944, arriving at Grenoke, Scotland December 16. He was transferred to France February 23, 1945 and was assigned to the 1st Army. He remained with the 1st Army until the fall of Dillenburg and was then transferred to the 15th Army. May 10th he was transferred to the 3rd Army with headquarters in Munich, Germany where he remained until September 5 when he was sent to the Assembly Area in Rheims, France. He arrived in the States October 26 and was discharged November 1. He wears the Good Conduct, American Defense, American Service and European Theatre of Operations with 5 Battle Stars, Ribbons. He is one of four sons of Mr. and Mrs. Maxim Landroche of River Street who have served in World War II. His brothers, Alphonse Landroche, was recently discharged from the Navy; another one, Lt. Leo Landroche, a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Forces and the youngest brother is Octave Landroche now serving with the Army in Tacoma, Washington. Sgt.
