Description	:	OLER (GEORGE) HAROLD OLER passed away peacefully in Raymond July 12, 2006 surrounded by his loving family, 10 days short of his 85th birthday. Harold was born near Idaho Falls, Idaho in the Osgood area, on July 22, 1921. His parents were Jessie Ann Thomas and Mark Harold Oler. In 1928 he immigrated to Canada with his family. Harold attended school in Stirling, AB where he made many life-long friends. His father, Mark Oler, passed away in 1942 so Harold became the breadwinner for the family. Read More	OLER (GEORGE) HAROLD OLER passed away peacefully in Raymond July 12, 2006 surrounded by his loving family, 10 days short of his 85th birthday. Harold was born near Idaho Falls, Idaho in the Osgood area, on July 22, 1921. His parents were Jessie Ann Thomas and Mark Harold Oler. In 1928 he immigrated to Canada with his family. Harold attended school in Stirling, AB where he made many life-long friends. His father, Mark Oler, passed away in 1942 so Harold became the breadwinner for the family. That fall he went to work in Idaho and soon received "Greetings" from Uncle Sam and enlisted in the American Army. he was sent to Prince Rupert, BC. On January 23, 1946, he married Katherine Paxman in the Alberta Temple and they were posted to Fort Lawton, Seattle, Washington. They returned to Raymond with an honorable discharge in July 1946. He became an electrician and always took great pride in a job well done. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and filled many callings and performed much service for his fellowmen. "Harold's Angels" include his wife of 60 years, Katherine, and children, James (Patti) of Sandy, UT, Duane (Joyce) of Raymond, AB, Roy (Lavina) of Dewinton, AB, LaVaun (Garth) Balls of Calgary, AB, Linda (Lonny) Johnson of Welling, AB, Sheila (Byron) Wilde and Randy (Cindy) of Lethbridge, AB, 39 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, June and Bertha and his brother, Bud. He is survived by his sisters, Louie, Lucy, and Vida. Funeral Services will be held at the Knight Street Chapel in Raymond at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2006 with Bishop Richard Wilde officiating.
