Thraen Strange at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Green River with Father Eugene Sullivan officiating. Burial was in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Westphalia, Iowa, with Neil Ohms, Amond Ohms, John Buman, Don Thraen, John Thraen and Ronald Thraen serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Strange, 45, died Feb. 15 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Strange, daughter of Arthur and Golden Christensen Thraen, was born Nov. 2, 1943, at Harlan, Iowa. She was raised in Harlan and graduated from the Harlan High School in 1962. She attended the Creighton School of Nursing in Omaha where she became a registered nurse. She worked in Iowa City and on September 1, 1966, she married Larry Strange at Iowa City. They have been in the house construction business in Laramie and Green River. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Green River. Mrs. Strange was preceded in death by her father in 1948 and brother, Lamont, in 1958. Survivors include her husband, Larry of Green River; a stepson, Terry, of Houston; one daughter, Laura, at home; her mother, Golden Thraen of Harlan; one brother, Chris Thraen of Woodbine, N.J.; and two sisters, Verlee Henry of Green Creek, N.J. and Ellen Ann Schroeder of Vineland, N.J. She is also survived by a grandson, Casey, other relatives and friends. * * *
