Description	:	From "History of the First Maine Cavalry," Nehemiah B. Catland, Age 21; res. Thomaston; en. Sept. 14, '61; mus. Oct. 19 as private; pro. corp. '62; pris. at Louisa Court House, May 2, '63; ex. and sent to hospital at Annapolis, and thence to Camp Distribution (Washington, D.C.), where he died from the effects of his imprisonment, June 14, '63; participated in all the engagements of the co. till captured.
