Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2003 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. The Rev. Pat Slater will officiate at the service. Darrow, 83, of Olin, died Monday September 8, 2003 at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Iowa City from cancer. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2003 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. The Rev. Pat Slater will officiate at the service. Interment will be at Highland Grove Cemetery, rural Anamosa with military services by the Anamosa veterans. Quitteen Mary Hudachek was born May 22, 1920 at Lisbon, Iowa. She was the daughter of William E. and Christine (Vislisel) Hudachek. Quitteen graduated from Olin High School in 1938. She then graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Quitteen joined the Army and played in the Army Band and directed the Art Therapy program at Fitsimmons General Hospital in Denver Colorado. On June 19, 1946 she married Ralph Orin Davis. Ralph and Quitteen later divorced she then moved back to Iowa and taught High School Business and Art and Elementary music in Eastern and North East Iowa schools for eighteen years. Quitteen was active in the Am Vets and the volunteer program at the VA Hospital in Iowa City. She is survived by two sons, Quintin Davis of Scotch Grove, Iowa, Olin Davis of Olin, Iowa; one daughter, Mary Stimmel of Des Moines; a step-son, Donald Darrow of Cedar Falls and a step-daughter, Phyllis Steenhoek of Mingo; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ralph Davis and Richard Darrow and a brother, Martin Hudechek.
