Description	:	Craig Derry passed away at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 23, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. He was 79. Craig was born in Billings on May 7, 1923, the son of Guy C. Derry and Oleeta Hine Derry. Craig practiced law until his retirement in 1987. Before law, Craig was an accomplished photographer and a court reporter. Craig enjoyed his work, spending time with his family, traveling, reading, music, theater, visiting with friends, riding his bicycle and, of late, spending time on the computer. He was 79. Craig was born in Billings on May 7, 1923, the son of Guy C. Derry and Oleeta Hine Derry. Craig practiced law until his retirement in 1987. Before law, Craig was an accomplished photographer and a court reporter. Craig enjoyed his work, spending time with his family, traveling, reading, music, theater, visiting with friends, riding his bicycle and, of late, spending time on the computer. Craig was a veteran of World War II, past president of the Optimist Club and RSVP and a member of the Montana Bar Association, Toastmasters, Knights of Columbus and St. Thomas Catholic Church. We will always miss you and love you, Craig, and will never forget your excellent examples of sincerity, generosity, honesty, loyalty and reliability you always demonstrated in your life. There are no words to express the extremely good care Big Sky Hospice provided Craig and the family. Their devotion and total attentiveness to family needs surpassed all of our expectations. His parents preceded him to eternal life as well as one sister, Dora Jane King and husband William S. King and a dear niece, Kathy King Bowman. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vickie; his son Philip and his wife Candace and grandson Jacob Derry of Florida; his son John Paul of Billings; his daughter Monique and her fiance Tracy Tuffs of Seattle; his sister Edith Kelly of Billings, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 2210 Colton Blvd. Private family inurnment will be held. His cremains will rest in the Landmark Columbarium in Mountview Cemetery. Your prayers will be felt in our hearts and souls.
