Description	:	OLSON, CREOLA R.—Creola (Wythers) Olson was born February 24, 1896, in Fillmore county, Nebraska, and passed away November 16, 1978, at a York, Neb., hospital, at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 22 days. She was the daughter of William and Kate Wythers. Creola was graduated from Geneva high school and attended Peru Nebraska State College and Bellingham College in Washington State. Read More	OLSON, CREOLA R.—Creola (Wythers) Olson was born February 24, 1896, in Fillmore county, Nebraska, and passed away November 16, 1978, at a York, Neb., hospital, at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 22 days. She was the daughter of William and Kate Wythers. Creola was graduated from Geneva high school and attended Peru Nebraska State College and Bellingham College in Washington State. After teaching several years in schools in Washington, she returned to Geneva where she taught in the elementary schools for many years. She later moved to Lincoln where she was employed in the Cengas officers. She was a life-long member of the Methodist church. Creola was united in marriage to Arthur E. Olson. They made their home in Minnesota for several years and moved from there to Tampa, Fla. Following Mr. Olson’s death, Creola moved to North Platte, Neb., where she had since made her home. She came to York this past Monday to be near her sister who is critically ill. Survivors include four sisters, Elva Pierson of La Grande, Ore.; Gladys Zentz of York; Hazel Mace of Eugene, Ore.; and Marie Brinton of North Platte; two step-sons, Wesley and Allen Olson of Clinton, Minn., several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother Wayne Wythers. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son funeral home in Geneva at 2 p.m., Monday, November 20, with Rev. Jay Funk of the United Methodist church officiating.
