Description	:	"Crescent" was the daughter of Simon Heisserer and Kathrine "Katie" Walter. Simon and Katie were married on 20 Nov 1864 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Crescent married John Andrew Stike, Sr. on 16 Apr 1903 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg. He worked as a carpenter/contractor. The Stikes were the parents of 10 children. 1 baby, John A., was born prematurely in 1913 and only lived for 8 hours. Crescent's husband, John, passed away in 1943. Tragedy struck the family in 1967 when another son, Quinton "Lode" Stike, was killed when he was struck by a car while attempting to cross Riverview Blvd. in north St. Louis, Missouri. He was married to Arabella Schetter at the time of the accident. During her later years, Crescent lived with the family of her son, "Jerry" Stike, on College Avenue in St. Louis. They eventually moved into a new home near Dellwood, Missouri in St. Louis County. Crescent was blessed with exceptionally good health until her unexpected death in 1977. She was enjoying a meal at the family supper table when she was suddenly stricken and died instantly. She was 93 years, 8 months and 18 days at the time of her death. Children: 6 daughters, 4 sons.
