Description	:	Curtis E. Lantow, 32, 420 Walnut St., died Saturday, Oct. 29, 1955, at 9:20 p.m. in Defiance City Hospital, where he had been a patient since Tuesday. He had suffered a stroke, Sept. 11, 1953 and another shortly before he was taken to the hospital. Mr. Lantow was an employee of the Norwalk Truck Co., driving the local deliveries. He entered the service on April 2, 1943 and was discharged Feb. 20, 1946, serving in England. His rating was T-5 with 609th ordinance. He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel Shelton to whom he was married on January 26, 1946 in Deptford, London, England, while he was in the armed service; two daughters, Bonita Kay and Deborah Jean; three brothers, George, Robert and Jack Lantow, all of Defiance; and three sisters, Mrs. Emory (Margaret) Speiser of Evansport, Mrs. Harry (Doris) Diemer and Mrs. Dan (Treva) Relyea, both of Defiance. A brother, Roger, preceded him in death. He was born in Defiance on December 30, 1933, a son of George and Alice (Richardson) Lantow. The body, now at the Mansfield and Mast funeral home, will be taken to St. John's Lutheran church Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. to lie in state until 2:30 p.m. when the pastor, Rev. O. G. Hebestreit will conduct the rites. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Defiance Crescent News - Monday. Oct. 31, 1955
