Description	:	SGT UNITED STATES AIR FORCE VIETNAM Curt was born to Burnell and Clara (Bruns) Koehlmoos. He attended St. John’s Lutheran School until high school, graduating from Primghar High School in 1967. He was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina, IA in 1963. He attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa until he enlisted in the Air Force in 1970. He was stationed at Offutt Airforce Base in Bellevue, NE. He was honorably discharged in 1974 and completed his degree in education in 1976 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He was honorably discharged in 1974 and completed his degree in education in 1976 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cynthia Glover, on May 29, 1970, in Terril, IA. To this union three children were born, Jairren, Jessica and Jason. They made their home in Springfield, NE, until his time of death. Curt spent his working career as a banker, educator, and most recently as a tax preparer for H&R Block. He never met a stranger that didn’t leave as a friend. His mission in life was to share the love of Christ, being a beacon of light to many youth in his service to the Lord and by instilling these values to his children. Curt helped God’s light shine and shared his love across all ages and backgrounds. He began with directing the children’s music programming when his children were little at Our Redeemer in Springfield, progressed into youth leadership of high school youth at Divine Shepherd which he did far beyond the years his own 3 children being in the program. Through this youth ministry he became a mentor to many and helped strengthen their knowledge in Christ through some of The most challenging years of faith. Curt had a voice like an Angel on Earth and was a vessel for God’s message through his music both vocally and instrumentally. He did not stop there as he counseled inmates through prison ministry- again modeling that God’s Love has no boundaries. From his commitment to Divine Shepherd, Curt received the Heart of the SHepherd award twice. He loved Nebraska Football, NCAA College World Series, John Deere tractors,and visiting family. He enjoyed gardening which fed his passion for farming. He made frequent trips back to Iowa to check in on his family’s farm land. His pride and joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.
