He was born January 4, 1913, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to William Thomas and Sarah Nellie Galey Jenkins. Curtis retired to his home in Billings in 1978 after working for Mobile Oil Corp.. 23 years, retiring as Field Superintendent for the Four Corners Area (N.M., Colorado, Utah and Arizona.) He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Casper, Wyoming, the York Rite Bodies in Williston, N.D. and Kem Shrine Temple in Grand Forks, N.D. He was born January 4, 1913, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to William Thomas and Sarah Nellie Galey Jenkins. Curtis retired to his home in Billings in 1978 after working for Mobile Oil Corp.. 23 years, retiring as Field Superintendent for the Four Corners Area (N.M., Colorado, Utah and Arizona.) He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Casper, Wyoming, the York Rite Bodies in Williston, N.D. and Kem Shrine Temple in Grand Forks, N.D. He was also a member of the Kem Widows and Orphans in Grand Forks and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Survivors include his loving wife Barbara, of 60 years; son Harold and his wife, Roberta; daughter Colleen Capps of Houston, Texas; grandson, Ryan and his wife, Kathy and great-granddaughter, Thresa Joy; and grandson, Scott Jenkins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov 18, at Smith's West Chapel, 304 34th St. W. Interment will follow at the Belfry Cemetery in Belfry, Carbon, Montana. Visitation will start 9 a.m. Wednesday at Smith's West Chapel. Memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice, P. O. Box 35033, Billings 59107; Shrine Hospitals, P.O. Box 20673, Billings 59104; Ronald Mcdonald House, 1144 N. 30th St., Billings 59101; Family Services, 1824 First Ave. N.,Billings 59101 or chairty of choice. Obituary: Billings Gazette Tuesday, November 16, 1999. On November 30, 2012 the families true surname was found to be Dunavain. Curtis's father's true birth name is William Henry Dunavain. A horse that William had named June Doll connected William Thomas Jenkins and William Henry Dunavain as one and the same man.
