Description	:	Cynthia Alice (Kitterman), the seventh child of thirteen born to Benjamin Henry Kitterman and Nancy Taylor. Alice or "Al" was born on Foster's Ridge, Perry County Indiana on the land of her maternal Grandfather, Daniel Taylor & Jane (Minor) Taylor only about 2 miles from the landmark known as Kitterman Corners. Cynthia recieved her public education in a tiny school house which stood a half mile from her home. The School house stood upon the land her Great Uncle had donated. Read More	Cynthia Alice (Kitterman), the seventh child of thirteen born to Benjamin Henry Kitterman and Nancy Taylor. She married Charles Willard Sheron on June 1, 1887. From this union were 11 children born, eight living to adulthood. Shortly after her marriage to Charles Willard Sheron the couple along with the entire Benjamin Henry Kitterman Family moved to Ash Creek or Clinton, Rock County Minnesota, where Benjamin's brother John Kitterman & Survilia Rhodes had established. Soon there after the couples family grew. FIrst Child, Julia Dean Sheron was born in Iowa at Souix Falls in June of 1888. Second Child Alice Fern also born at Souix Falls Iowa July of 1890. When Benjamin Harrison Sherron was born on Aug 21, 1893 the family were in Clinton, Rock County, Minnesota. Her Second Son, Samuel Mays Sheren was born in Parkston South Dakota on Jan 13, 1894. By 1898 Cynthia and Charles had moved back to Ash Creek Minnesotta where Letta Lietha Sheron was born, Nov 30 1898. By 1900, when Ida June was born the family were in South Soiux City Nebraska remaining here until 1902 when Katheryn was then born. For the next several years the family remained until 1906 when Charles Laton Sheren was born also in Nebraska. Following the trail of work seemed to be the reason for the moves. Cynthia Alice's husband was a carpenter and built homes for many family members who eventually moved to Wall SD. Cynthia and Charles divorced sometime during the first World War, possibly back in the State of Minnesota. The family by this time were in Minneapolis where Cynthia Alice remained with her daughter Letta now married. Cynthia worked in the hospital as a practical nurse. Skills learned there she held her entire life. She married a second time, this time to a man by the name of John Anderson, a Norwegian Immigrant who lived next door to Letta and her husband Clarence Eckert. The sincerity of Mr. Anderson was short lived, he took her money and was never seen again. By the 1920's Cynthia had made her way back to South Dakota where her three sons were living near Wall. From here Samuel Mays with his new bride Margaret Johnson and baby girl Marguerete, Charles Laton and Cynthia Alice made there way to Canada by car. The Family arrived at the Coutts Alberta Crossing on July 13, 1926 with the full intention on proceeding to Peace River Town where rumours of the rich farm land had reached them in South Dakota. Letta and her husband Clarence Milo Eckert were soon to follow. Cynthia Alice and her sons had some car troubles while travelling north on the Klondyke trail, a farmer traded his farm for the car and the family stayed. Cynthia Alice was a devoted citizen of the Klondyke District. She would pack up and go whenever anyone needed a helping hand, whether that be bed side nursing care or if a new born were to come into the world. Later in life Mr. Ehlmer Nickols now a young widower needed help with is children. Cynthia Alice daily would make the trek across country and see that the family were well provided for. She raised Elmer's Children. Once that task was over, Elmer proposed marriage and the couple lived out their lives together. Elmer passed in 1958 a year before Grandma. Prior to 1955 Cynthia Alice made a trip back to Perry County with Charles Laton Sheren. Along this trip Cynthia returned to Wall where her son; Benjamin Harrison and two daughters; Katheryn and Alice were living, along with countless other of her Kitterman Siblings and related families. Cynthia Alice Kitterman passed away in Barrhead Hospital Christmas Eve of 1959. Having lived 90 years, 11 month's and 10 days. She will best be remembered for her love and compassion she shed on everyone she met. She was a woman of great stamina, she was proper in manners and proud of her family. She would be very proud today to know that over 1000 people can lend claim to be a direct descendant to her.
