Svarvari-McCourt, 61, of Kearney died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Kearney Church of Christ. Rev. Jay Towell will officiate and burial will follow at the Overton Cemetery. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral Services of Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Cynthia was born on June 9, 1951 in Kearney, NE to William R. and Norma J. (Pickett) Maas. She grew up in Southern California and Overton and graduated from Overton High School in the class of 1969. Cindi lived for many years in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but returned to Nebraska in 1988. Cindi was an amazing free spirit. She will be remembered for her strength and stubbornness, her philosophizing, her solid sense of right and wrong, her incredible optimism, her desire to help those in need, and most of all, for her extraordinary ability to love. She is survived by her husband, Ron McCourt, of Kearney, NE; daughters,Stacey Snider-Simon and her husband Brian, of Tucson, AZ; Cameo Grayek and her husband Chad, of Overton, NE; one son Sage Svarvari and Becky Witmer, of Elm Creek, NE; three step-daughter,Stacy McCourt and her significant other Chris Harris, of Lexington; Shavon McCourt and her significant other Joe Villalon, of Lexington; and Sharon Moler and her husband Ben, of Elwood. 19 grandchildren (Ivan, Jerrica, Dylan, Anthony, Noah, Shae, Tovar, Calla, Hunter, Shirley, Amberly, Caleb, Chloe, Dominek, Zailey, Nikolai, Troubadour, Nadyezhda, and Jurnee). three brothers , Rick Maas and his wife, Lynda, of Broken Bow; Greg Maas and his wife, Mary, of Phoenix, AZ; and Jeff Maas of Overton; three sisters Stephanie Wood and her husband John, of Overton; Marcy Fleenor and her husband Pat, of Overton; and Missy Smith, and her husband Dave, of Overton; numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family members; as well as many friends. Cynthia was preceded in death by an Infant Granddaughter, Chase Marie Grayek; Nephew, Christopher Fleenor; Sister-in-Law, Rhonda Maas; Great Nephew, Jessie Altwine; Parents, Bill and Jean Maas.
