Cindy was born in Billings, MT, on July 24, 1945, to Phyllis and Edward Hanson. Read More	Big Timber PIoneer, August 22, 2008 Cynthia Hope Beade passed away on August 8, 2008, after a brief but courageous fight with cancer. Cindy was born in Billings, MT, on July 24, 1945, to Phyllis and Edward Hanson. Until she was nine years old Cindy lived on the family. ranch outside of Melville with her parents and three siblings, two sisters and a brother, when the family moved to Big timber. During this period she enjoyed horseback riding, participating in 4-H, working on local dude ranches, and being a majorette for the high school band among other activities in and around Big Timber. She graduated from Sweet Grass County High School in Big Timber and went on to, and completed, a business education from Kinman Business College in Spokane, WA. While working at Beneficial Finance in Spokane, Cindy met her future husband Ken on December 15, 1966, and after a long courtship, they married on January 28, 1967, in Coeur D'Alene, ID. After her husband was discharged from the U. S. Air Force in 1969, they made their home in Novato CA, until 2004, when they moved to Petaluma. Over the years Cindy very much enjoyed her love for cooking, gardening, playing the piano, reading, working crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, and being a lifelong supporter of "Days Of Our Lives". She also very much enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her son Scott and her four grandkids. Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Ken; her daughters Melissa (Dustin) Slack and Jennifer (Rick) Cox; son Scott Beade; mother Phillis Hanson, brother Duane (Nancy) Hanson; father-in-law Howard Beade; brother-in-law Jon (Joan) Beade; grandchildren Ashley and Ryan Slack, Shane and Luke Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Karnese Christenson and her father Edward Hanson. Cindy was very proud of her upbringing and her Norwegian heritage. Contributor: Julia Kinsey (48922386) •
