Read More	Cynthia J. Finkhouse, 53, of Rapid City and formerly of Brookings, SD passed away Friday, September 7, 2007 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born on January 31, 1954 in Lake Preston, SD to Lyle and Mildred (Peterson) Jorenby. She worked in the banking industry in Brookings and Rapid City for many years, most recently as a personal banking representative with Wells Fargo in Rapid City. She was known as Cindy to most of her friends, co-workers, and customers at Wells Fargo. She loved to laugh and was the first one to laugh at herself. Her co-workers and customers appreciated her pleasant, yet hard working attitude. She rarely complained, gave good customer service, and would often tell stories of how frustrated, yet amused, she was with any poor customer service she might get when she was shopping. Life threw challenge after challenge in front of Cindy in recent years, yet she bravely struggled with everything. Her only goal was to stay alive as long as possible, in order to be there for Andy and Kristi. She was by all accounts, the best mother in the whole world. She fought cancer for nearly 4 years. She was not alone at the end, and was cared for by a very compassionate staff at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Her family is extremely grateful for the support received by Cindy and family from her friends at Wells Fargo, the doctors, nurses, chaplain, and staff at Rapid City Regional, her childrens friends as well as their families, and of course from family and friends in Brookings. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her children Andy and Kristi Finkhouse of Rapid City; her parents, Lyle and Mildred Jorenby of Brookings; 2 brothers, Howard (Cheryl) Jorenby and Kevin Jorenby, all of Brookings; 2 nieces and 2 nephews; and her beloved dog Blazey. Visitation will be on Monday, September 10, 2007 from 5 to 7 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City. Further visitation and funeral services will be held in Brookings. Arrangements are with Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City and Rudes Funeral Home in Brookings, SD.
