Cyrus Price was one of the earliest settlers in Montana having come to this state in 1862, and was for nearly 32 years a resident of Fort Benton. One of Montana's Oldest Residents Called Beyond Cyrus Price, died at the home of his son, Charles W., on Front Street, Fort Benton, on Monday evening at 9:50 o'clock, aged 85 years, 7 months, and 16 days. Cyrus Price was one of the earliest settlers in Montana having come to this state in 1862, and was for nearly 32 years a resident of Fort Benton. He was born in 1908, in Charleston, Greenbriar county, Virginia, or which has become West Virginia. Arriving at the age of manhood he moved to Missouri, and in 1862 Mr. Price came to Montana to make his home. Since that time he has lived with his sons, Kyle and Charles, in Fort Benton, and since the removal of the former to Great Falls, the father has made his home with the latter. Deceased leaves three sons, Charles of Fort Benton and Kyle of Great Falls, who were present at the time of his death, and John who lives in Washington; also a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Houser, of Jacksonville, Oregon. Funeral services were held at the residence of Mr. Price on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Weekly Tribune, Great Falls, MT, 23 Feb 1894
