June Stockton was born July 1, 1927 at Chicago, IL, the daughter of Richard and Laura Gilbank Stockton. She received her education in Chicago. June Stockton and Reinhard J. Eggers were married Oct. 13, 1945 at Chicago, IL. The couple farmed in the Scotch Grove and Center Junction area for some 19 years and have lived in Anamosa the past 20 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a member of the choir and a Sunday school teacher until her retirement. Eggers is survived by her husband; four daughters, Linda Kromminga of Eldora, Karen Schocker of Lowden, Laura Eggers of San Francisco, CA, and Twyla Brasko of Pittsburgh, PA; and a son, Erich Eggers, of Jacksonville, FL., and 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Stockton of Waukegan, IL, and a sister Loretta Andrews of Iron Mountain, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents. The grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
