Hogsett married in March 1956 at Imperial, Nebraska. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Daisy Belle Gemaehlich, 81, of Sterling passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 in Sterling. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21 with the family receiving friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Tennant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, May 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. James Nash officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 pm at the Holyoke Cemetery. Daisy was born on March 17, 1934 in Lamar, NE to Lawrence "Jake" J. and Annie R. (Redden) Hogsett. She attended school through the eighth grade. She was a housewife and a farmer. She married Willard H. Oltjenburns on March 25, 1956 in Holyoke. They were married for 19 years. She later married Henry Gemaehlich on June 16, 1977. They were married for 30 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Trinity Lutheran Church, and a volunteer for the Logan County Visitor Center. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking, playing cards, and puzzles. She was always knitting and donating an afghan for different charities and was always volunteering for Church events. She is survived by her sons Lester Oltjenbruns and wife Denise of Naturita, CO and Allen Oltjenbruns and wife Linda of Junction City, KS; stepson Keith Gemaehlich and wife Betty of Pittsburg, CA; stepdaughters Carolyn Baker of Grand Junction and Marolyn Babcock and husband Clarence of Windsor; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Jake and Annie; sisters Dorthy Castle and Dola Hessman; brothers Lawrence Hogsett and Dwight Hogsett; husbands Willard Oltjenbruns and Henry Gemaehlich. Memorials may be made to the Daisy Gemaehlich Memorial Fund in care of Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
