Description	:	Daisy Caroline Craig was born Dec. 17, 1877 to William Porter and Emma Lee Austin near Spring- field,Ill. She came to Lincoln count- ty as a small girl to homestead with her parents northwest of Far- nam. She was married Dec. 16, 1896 to Henry B. Craig, who pre- ceeded her in death on Nov. 21, 1951. They lived on their home- stead south of Brady until 20 years ago when they moved to the Svea Dal community. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversery on Dec. 16, 1946. She came to Lincoln count- ty as a small girl to homestead with her parents northwest of Far- nam. She was married Dec. 16, 1896 to Henry B. Craig, who pre- ceeded her in death on Nov. 21, 1951. They lived on their home- stead south of Brady until 20 years ago when they moved to the Svea Dal community. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversery on Dec. 16, 1946. To this union three daughters wehere born, twins having passed away in infancy. Mrs. Craig goined the Congrega- tional church in Farnam when she was a young lady, and her life has been marked by adherance to Christian principles. When able she cared for others as she worked for a time as a nurse. Some 20 years ago she fell vic- tim to a severe attack of arthritis which became chronic and for four- teen years she was confined to a wheel chair in her home adjacent to the Ernest Petersons. Her illness was confining, but she was not cir- cumscribed by the walls of her home. She enjoyed the fellowship of many pen pals, and the neighbors where constantly being challenged by her patience and happy outlook on life. Surviving is a daughter (Susie) Mrs. Earnst Peterson, her son-in- law Earnst Peterson and three grandchildren, Kent, LaVonne and Betheen, also Mrs. Kent Peterson. Other survivers are: One brother Ira Austin of Gothenburg: three sisters: Mrs. Eleanor Craig of Ger- ing. Mrs. Ina Rowland of Para- mount, Calif. and Mrs. Edith Pol- lard of Boulder, Colo. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Mrs. Craig died at their home at 10:35 a.m. on May 19, 1955. Funer- al services were held Suday af- ternoon May 22, at the Svea Dal church, north of Brady at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Carl Isaacson officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Pollard, Mrs. Jay Rice and Mrs. James Reben- thaler furnished the music, Serving as pallbearers were Dan McNickle, John Rowland, Frank Wickstrom, Alvin Oman, Ray Hild, and Vincent Bergstrom. Burial was in the fam- ily lot in Gaslin cemetery, with Olesen's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. North Platte Telegraph-Bulletin Tuesday , May 24, 1955
