Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Pastor Tess Hufford will officiate. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery. Read More	CENTRAL CITY — Daisy Evelyn Kuskie, 92, of Central City died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, in Central City. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Pastor Tess Hufford will officiate. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery. Daisy Kuskie was born Jan. 17, 1922, to Ed and Agnes (Varga) Zichek. She grew up in the Central City area and graduated from Central City High School. She was united in marriage to Elsmer L. Kuskie on Aug. 30, 1940. Elsmer and Daisy farmed their entire married life north of Central City. Elsmer passed in 2005 and Daisy moved to town in 2006. Daisy attended the United Methodist Church of Central City. She was well-known in the area for her baking and decorating of cakes for 25 years. She will also be remembered for her embroidery, making quilts, cooking for family and friends, coffee times, extension club, enjoyable times at the Senior Center and the many family celebrations. Survivors include her daughter, Evelyn, and Bob Herbig of Central City; her son, Larry, and Marlene Kuskie of Kearney; grandsons, Mike and Ann Herbig of Central City, Steve and Julie Herbig of Central City and Kurt and Kristina Kuskie of Fort Collins, Colo.; granddaughters, Diana and Ryan Senkbile of Donahue, Iowa, and Jennifer and Dan Danielson of Seattle, Wash.; and great-grandchildren, including Kris Herbig, Brooke Herbig, Nick Herbig, Mitch Herbig, Ellen Danielson, Addison Danielson, Katie Kuskie, Savannah Senkbile, Harold Senkbile, Harley Senkbile and Tressie Senkbile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elsmer, and brothers, Melvin Zichek, Donald Zichek and Harvey Zichek.
