Her death was attributed to cancer of the lung, following a years illness. She came with her parents to Randolph, Nebr., where they lived for a time and then moved to Magnet, Nebr. Read More	Daisy Atkins was born at Sioux City, Iowa on April 26, 1883 and died at Omaha, Nebr. February 11, 1930 at the age of 46 years, 9 months and 15 days. Her death was attributed to cancer of the lung, following a years illness. She came with her parents to Randolph, Nebr., where they lived for a time and then moved to Magnet, Nebr. She was united in marriage to William Hathaway in the year 1905. This union was blessed with one son, Noland. From Magnet they moved to Creighton, where they resided for a number of years. Her husband passed away at Creighton and later, Mrs. Hathaway and son removed to Omaha. In the year 1925 Mrs. Hathaway was again married, to J.W. Dalby and resided there until her death. Mrs. Dalby acquired a great many friends during her residence in Creighton. She was a woman of splendid character and those, whom she was privileged to know, were indeed sorry to learn of her untimely death. Besides her husband and son, she leaves to mourn, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie O'Rourke, Richmond, Calif., Amy Atkins, Omaha, Nebr.; two brothers, James Atkins, Spencer, Nebr. and Joe Atkins, Richmond, Calif. Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at Omaha from the Brailey & Dorrence undertaking parlors, conducted by the pastor of the Calvary Baptist church and the remains brought to Creighton Saturday afternoon for burial. A short service at the grave was read by Rev. Kuhler, pastor of the Methodist church. The floral tributes were many and beautiful, which attested to the high esteem Mrs. Dalby was held in by her every acquaintance. The body was tenderly laid to rest beside her first husband. To the bereaved husband, son, sisters and brothers, we extend our most profound sympathy.
