Services were held Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blue Hill, with the Rev. James Witt officiating. Dale was born January 7, 1955, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Melvin H. and Verna Mae (Siebrass)) Koepke. Dale grew up on the farm south of Blue Hill and graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1973. Dale was born January 7, 1955, in Red Cloud, Nebraska, to Melvin H. and Verna Mae (Siebrass)) Koepke. Dale grew up on the farm south of Blue Hill and graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1973. He attended Fairbury Junior College on a track scholarship for his pole vaulting abilities and later did well with throwing the javelin. He graduated in 1976 with an Associate of Arts degree. Dale was active in sports throughout his life and was very talented in boxing, bowling, and pitching fast pitch softball. He enjoyed the outdoors and often would go hunting and fishing with his family. Dale liked being with people and made many friendships through his work experiences. He was an electrical buyer and warehouse foreman for Dutton & Lainson for three years before going into sales promotions for both radio and television, working for the NTV Network for three years and radio stations for approximately six years. Dale also served the expanded tri-city area for 12 years as a sales/service representative for Liberty Services and later Village Uniform Linen and Services, where he set up and serviced linen, uniform and mat accounts. Dale had lived in Russell, McPherson and Salina, Kansas, while working for Kansas radio stations but spent the majority of his life closer to the area where he grew up in the Hastings/Kearney/Minden/ Blue Hill area. He married Jane Kindscher on June 24, 1978, at Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska, and they later divorced. On September 28,1985, he married Shannon Klozenbucher in Hastings, Nebraska and they later divorced. Survivors include parents, Melvin and Verna Koepke of Blue Hill; daughters, Brandi Koepke of Superior, Lakey Koepke of Lincoln; sister and brother-in-law, Elgene and Michael Grafel of Hastings; brother, Eldon Koepke of Beloit, Kansas.
