Description	:	Dale Duane Pederson was born on August 20, 1927 in Valley City, ND, the son of Fred and Elise (Fagerstrom) Pederson. He was a lifelong resident of Marsh Township, living on the same farm his entire life. He attended King School, rural Valley City, and graduated in 1945 from Valley City High School. Read More	Dale Duane Pederson was born on August 20, 1927 in Valley City, ND, the son of Fred and Elise (Fagerstrom) Pederson. He was a lifelong resident of Marsh Township, living on the same farm his entire life. He attended King School, rural Valley City, and graduated in 1945 from Valley City High School. Following his schooling, he began farming with his parents. On December 8, 1951, Dale married Marcyne Marler in Valley City. They made their home on the Pederson farm and took over the operation in 1952, after his father died. Besides grain farming, he milked cows for over forty years. Dale continued to help on the farm after his sons took over. He had been a member of Nebo Lutheran Church and was currently a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Valley City. He served on the church council for a number of years. He belonged to the Eagles Aerie 2192 and was a 4-H Leader. Dale served as the treasurer of Marsh Township for 50 years. He enjoyed playing cards, especially with his grandchildren. Dale is survived by his wife, Marcyne of Valley City; children, Nancy (Alan) Sorensen of Valley City, Linda (Lynn) Janisch of Moorhead, MN, Neil (Kelly) Pederson of Valley City, and Dean (Amy) Pederson of Valley City; grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Metcalf, Krista Sorensen, Alison Sorensen, Nicole Janisch, Jaymie Janisch, Melissa Pederson, Mackenzie Pederson, Peyton Pederson, and Carver Pederson; brother, Allen (Freda) Pedersen of Crookston, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
