He married his beloved Alice Jean September 26, 1948 and they raised three children, Diane, Barbara and Fred in Colfax, near Mockenema, and on the family farm on Union Flat Creek. A graveside service will be Friday, November 19th at the Colfax Cemetery at 11:00 followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Endicott. Pastor Philip Misner will officiate. Dale was born April 12, 1926 at Ephrata, Washington to Fred J. and Elthea Wheeler Stover. He moved to the Wilcox area (near Colfax) with his parents in 1930. Dale attended the Wilcox country school, Hamilton Grade School in Colfax and later moved with his parents in 1941 to Endicott where he graduated from high school in 1944. He met the love of his life, Alice Jean Morasch on the school bus in 1941 and they were married September 26, 1948. Following their marriage, Dale worked in the fertilizer business for 22 years. In the fall of 1969 they moved back to the farm where he lived and worked until his last harvest in 2007 at the age of 81. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and working in his shop. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Wilcox Grange and the Dusty Co-op. Dale is survived by his wife, Alice, at their Endicott home; his son Fred (Cindy) Stover of Spokane; daughter Diane (Mike) Repp of Auburn, WA.; and his son-in-law, Matthew L. Rutt of Richland, WA; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Barbara Rutt, one sister and an infant brother.
