Description	:	Dale Boeckel, 65, Beulah, died July 24, 2007, near Glen Ullin of natural causes. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Saturday, July 28, at Prairie View Church of God, Beulah, with the Rev. Thomas Rasey Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Beulah City Cemetery. Dale was born on the home place north of Beulah, on June 12, 1942, the oldest child of Ervin and Bertha (Flemmer) Boeckel. Dale was raised and educated north of Beulah. On Oct. 29, 1966, he married his wife of 40 years, Claudy Schulz, at Beulah Church of God. Together, they farmed north of Beulah, moving into Beulah in 1990. Dale continued to farm with his son, Darnell, in the Thunderhawk, S.D., area until his death. Dale and Claudy owned and operated the Hitching Post Western Shop from 1979 to 1991. He served on the church council and taught Sunday school at Beulah Church of God for a number of years. Dale enjoyed farming, attending auction sales, toy shows and farm shows, boating, water skiing, team roping, motorcycling, snowmobiling, collecting toy tractors, toy cars and belt buckles, and spending time at Lee's Welding to help and visit. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a great story-teller. He loved his son, Darnell, and enjoyed farming with him. He loved his grandsons, Justin, Nathan and Steven, and spent many hours working, playing and traveling with them, attending the Big Iron Farm Show, State Fair and other events with them annually. The grandsons said that Dale was the most fun grandpa and he bought them lots of stuff. They loved the way Grandpa made fried egg sandwiches and root beer floats for them. Dale is survived by his wife, Claudy, Beulah; his son, Darnell, Thunderhawk, S.D.; three grandsons, Justin, Nathan and Steven; his parents, Ervin and Bertha Boeckel, Beulah; one sister, Donna and Gary Soland, Hazen; his mother-in-law, Lenora Schulz, Beulah; two sisters-in-law, Pat Krueger, Bismarck, and Pam and Dan Fischer, Mobridge, S.D.; one brother-in-law, Clyde and Diana Schulz, Beulah; his nieces and nephews, Wade Soland, Darin Soland, Jamie and Codi Soland, Derek Schulz, Chris and Jessica Schulz, Jenni and Corey Axtman, Dani and Tom Dekker and Shawna and Chad Jacobs; and his great-nephews and great-nieces, Bryant, Lacey, Christina, Kelly, Dakota, Tucker and Harley Soland, Koral and Jada Schulz, Skylar and Ashton Dekker and Sidney Jacobs. Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Rosina Flemmer and Ludwig and Dorothea Boeckel; his father-in-law, William Schulz; one niece, Darlene Soland; and one brother-in-law, Richard Krueger.
