Dale Eugene Crismas was born March 30, 1942, in Howard, KS, to Wilma Ruth (Westwood) and Alva Lee Crismas. His family was sharecroppers, and Dale attended thirteen different one-room schools growing up. He went to high school in Climax, KS and Severy, KS, before graduating from Eureka (KS) High School. Dale Eugene Crismas was born March 30, 1942, in Howard, KS, to Wilma Ruth (Westwood) and Alva Lee Crismas. His family was sharecroppers, and Dale attended thirteen different one-room schools growing up. He went to high school in Climax, KS and Severy, KS, before graduating from Eureka (KS) High School. Dale then worked at the Eureka Mill and Elevator and then the Paul Parks Skelly Gas Station. This led to him being hired at the Kansas Department of Transportation in 1967 and becoming an engineer in the road department before retiring in 2005. On November 1, 1962, Dale married Judith Knight at the Methodist Church in Severy, KS and she survives at the home. Dale was a member of the Bowling Association and a multi-time Water Board President. He was an avid gardener, loved flowers, photography, bird watching and all his grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Judy Crismas, of the home. Children; Bryan Crismas, Terrell, TX, Teresa (John) Smart, Independence, KS and Alison (Joe) Carroll, Independence, KS. Grandchildren; Dane (Chelsea) Crismas, Brooke Crismas, Marcus Lewis, Quincy Freeman, Eleanor Grace Carroll, Byron Carroll, Genevieve Carroll, Ulysses Carroll. One brother, James Crismas, Humboldt, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Alva Clinton Crismas, sister, Frances Talamantes, a granddaughter, Amanda Lewis and a sister-in-law, Linda Crismas.
