Casket bearers will be John Tarnish, Ronald Hannasch, Jerry Wilson, Hal Clausen, Richard Textor and Douglas Drake. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today. A memorial fund has been established in memory of Mr. Textor, and friends may leave memorials at the funeral home or the church. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to lie in state until the time of the service. Born May 26, 1919, at Coon Rapids, he was a son of George and Lenora (Clifford) Textor. He served on the WASP in the Navy during World War II. On Dec. 19, 1948, he married Helen Eich in Washington, Iowa. Mr. Textor had lived in Carroll for 45 years, owning and operating Textor Realty in Carroll for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carroll and had been a member of the Methodist Men. He sang in the church choir for many years and was a member of the Elks Men's Chorus, singing in a quartet and a barber shop quartet. Mr. Textor also played in the community band. He was a member of the American Legion and of the Signet Lodge #264 AF and AM. Survivors include his wife, Helen, of Carroll; two daughters, Cathy Kreisel and her husband, Jim, of Winona, Minn., and Julie Schrad of Davenport, Iowa; five grandsons, Joshua, Christopher and Kevin Kreisel and Mike and David Schrad; a brother, Wayne Textor and his wife, Dorothy, of Coon Rapids; and a sister, Lucille Pingery, of Coon Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eunice Drake.
